David Javid Najafi, M.D.

David Najafi, MD is a Vitreoretinal Surgeon, Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Fellow of American Society of Retina Specialists.

Doctor David Najafi has received his Medical Doctorate degree from Cornell University Medical College. His medical training continued at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, New York Hospital, and North Shore University Hospital.

After his residency in Ophthalmology at the New York Hospital of Cornell University he further specialized in a two year fellowship in medical and surgical treatment of Vitreoretinal and Macular diseases at the University of California in San Diego (UCSD), Shiley Eye Center. He has been active in teaching advanced surgical and medical treatment at the UCSD department of Ophthalmology as a clinical instructor.
